High-tech companies are sprouting up throughout the region, one of the driving forces in the revitalization that has taken place in our local economy. Rising Stars, a quarterly event, showcases the entrepreneurs who are building some of Rochester’s most successful technology companies. It offers an opportunity to hear their personal stories and meet the individuals behind Rochester’s “rising stars.”

Want to get your message across in a powerful way? Let the show begin!

Digital Rochester is pleased to bring you the founders of two successful companies that apply Media Magic to the delivery of your business message – producing remarkable results! Donna Shultz (President and founder) will tell you that the magic begins with the wizards behind the scenes, the people who work at Mirror Show Management! Established in 1993, this trade show management company has claimed a notable presence on Rochester’s Top 100 list for each of the last four years. In a world where trade shows have become “big business” and an international exhibit can make or break a company’s reputation, Donna will talk about what it has taken to Exhibit Greatness as the company has grown to 60 employees in a 158,000 square foot facility - and trade shows around the globe.

On any given day, Steve DelMonte’s ‘facility’ is likely to have four wheels – or a propeller – and be far from the company's Rochester production studios! Steve (President and co-founder) is the driving force behind Electronic Field Productions' growth from a regional media producer to a highly respected and sought after source for international broadcast networks, corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Donna DelMonte (Vice President and co-founder) will be joined by an electronic version of Steve as they tell the story of carving out a space in a highly competitive field where they've served the likes of ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox – and come home with an Emmy!

As always, the Rising Stars series gives us an ‘up close and personal’ look at what it takes to found and grow a successful business in the Rochester region. Join us for a “magical” Rising Stars session on December 6th!

Steve DelMonte

Steve DelMonte is Electronic Field Productions' President and Director of Photography. Steve is the driving force behind the company's growth from a regional media producer to a highly respected and sought after source for international broadcast networks, corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Steve has captured images on 4 continents, two oceans and even inside the Arctic Circle for such clients as The Travel Channel, The Discovery Channel, Harris Corporation, Daimler Chrysler and news organizations such as CBS and ABC. Some of his proudest accomplishments are a 12 part series for the Hallmark Channel called "Landmarks of Faith" and an EFP production called "Wings of Eagles Airshow" which aired on The Discovery Channel.

Donna Shultz

Donna Shultz founded Mirror Show Management, Inc., a trade show management company, in 1993. The company has grown to employ 60 and recently moved to a 158,000-square-foot facility in Webster. Mirror Show’s growth has earned it a place on the Rochester Top 100 list for four years. The company’s clients are local and global, and include Eastman Kodak Co., Johnson & Johnson, Qualcomm and PepsiCo.

Donna’s experience in the field dates to 1985, when she began working as a trade show account executive. There, she developed a straightforward approach to business that has become Mirror Show’s guiding principle: Listen to customers’ needs and develop ideas that will help them succeed.

As company president, Donna attributes Mirror Show’s success to her talented and fun employees, the “everyday heroes” who foster a dynamic and productive environment in their quest to fulfill the company’s mission: Exhibit Greatness.

Donna finds her work at Mirror Show exhilarating. “A trade show is like a stage production, where the preparation time far exceeds the performance itself,” she says. “Our business takes us to great places such as New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Paris. No two exhibits are alike, and no two days are alike – and I love each and every one of them!” Donna holds an associate’s degree from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred.
