High-tech companies are sprouting up throughout the region, helping to revitalize our local economy. Rising Stars, a quarterly event, showcases the entrepreneurs who are building some of Rochester’s most successful technology companies. It offers an opportunity to hear their personal stories and meet the individuals behind Rochester’s “rising stars.” You found a company, put it on the road to success and unexpectedly field an offer to sell, to merge or to be acquired by a corporate giant. What do you do? You work at a company with significant accomplishments, great people and a market niche ready for the taking, but you think your boss is spending his time thinking about a beach in Florida. What do you do? The circumstances may vary, but when a moment like this appears, the critical question is: Buy, Sell or Hold? How do you make the right decision at the right time? This edition of Rising Stars will feature business owners who faced that buy, sell or hold decision in their own set of circumstances and made a choice that's working very, very well for them. Meet Tony Mazzullo, who founded eTrack Solutions in June of 1999. He took the offer to sell, but stayed on to continue to grow the Rochester operation of a larger enterprise. He's now Senior Vice President of Operations for the publicly traded company, ePlus, Inc. David Wagner and Joe Burke were working together at Vanteon when they made the decision to buy the company and take it to the next level. Today, Vanteon is North America's largest independent domestic Software and Electronics Design lab. David & Joe have no doubt that they made the right decision at the right time. Once again, Digital Rochester offers you the opportunity for an up close and personal session with Rochester success stories. Join us on October 27th for Rising Stars!
