*What’s a Chinese Auction?

Everyone at a Chinese auction has the opportunity to buy raffle tickets that are used to "bid" on the exciting prizes that have been donated for "auction." It's a raffle that calls for strategic thinking! You can place all of your tickets in one drawing basket, or put one ticket in every basket. The item goes to the person whose ticket is drawn, at random, from the basket. The more tickets you bid on an item, the better your chances of winning - but are you going after The Big Prize or a smaller item with fewer tickets in the basket? Do you want to bid early, or do you want to wait and see which items have the best odds? It's great fun, and you just might win the perfect gift for your very special someone. (You don't have to be present to win.)

Directions to VENU: VENU is located at 151 St. Paul Street, immediately south of the Inner Loop overpass. From Route 490 East or West bound:
- Take exit #13.
- Stay on the Inner Loop ramp, following the sign stating Clinton Ave/St Paul St. Keep right.
- After the bridge, go to the light, make a right onto Saint Paul, VENU will be just ahead on right hand side.

There is a parking lot across the street on your left (at the corner of Andrews & St. Paul) that will be free that evening, an additional lot on Andrews between St. Paul and Clinton, and even more parking both behind Tapas and on the street. Map
