presents our seventh
Career Fair for Technology Professionals, an event designed to match area professionals with the opportunities that will boost the economic potential of our region.
Previous events have each attracted 40-50+ companies and hundreds of experienced professionals exploring new career alternatives!
We are currently seeking employers to exhibit at this event.
The cost to participate is
scaled to the size of the participating business. (
us the number of employees plus contractors that you have in upstate NY to get your rate.)
New Opportunity! For an additional $25, participating employers can have their job postings promoted on the Digital Rochester web site! The earlier you sign up, the earlier your opportunities are advertised on this high traffic web site! (See sample) Positions will be featured until 1) you ask us to remove the listing or 2) one month after the event.
We request that companies reserve their tables no later than September 16, 2008, however, there is limited space available, which will be filled on a first come, first served basis. There is a surcharge for late registration. The Registration Form can be downloaded here.
We welcome the participation of any companies that are seeking qualified professionals to join their organizations in either contract or permanent hire positions. We encourage participants to not only recruit for technical positions, but also to recruit for sales, marketing, finance & operations management professionals who understand business in the technology world. We define technology broadly - it is IT, software development and telecom, but also engineering, life sciences, optics, alternative energy and more.

Digital Rochester Career Fairs have been an excellent forum to recruit talent for The Rochester Group. DR does a good job on promotion for the events and employer openings. Many of the individuals who attend are knowledgeable of our position openings and come prepared to discuss their qualifications. We participated in a previous Technology Job Fair, looking for manufacturing engineers and supervisors as well as sales & marketing staff. Despite the expectations set by the organizers, I did not think that we would find many professional candidates. In fact, virtually every person I spoke with was an experienced professional with relevant work experience. This event turned out to be excellent exposure for a smaller manufacturing company like Semrock. I would highly recommend this Job Fair for other companies, even for those that do not have urgent openings.
When BizNetix took part in the Technology Career Fair, Digital Rochester happened to send out an email blast about the event at 5:45 pm on the day that we signed up to participate. Within the first hour, we experienced a spike in traffic to our web site - more than 400 visitors above normal - that can only be attributed to the DR promotion. We're internet marketing specialists; we understand visitor patterns and were very pleased with this result. The event itself drew excellent candidates. We found it well worth our while!
RTE has literally been calling and asking when the next Technology Career Fair will take place. There is no other single source where we have been able to meet as many qualified candidates for the hard-to-fill technical and project leadership positions that are so critical to RTE's success. We've participated in many job fairs and none make it as easy for the recruiters as the DR team does. There are timely, informative advance communications, maps of the table location with signage once you arrive and all of the resources we need for the event.
The candidates were extremely relevant to our targeted search and we were pleased with the caliber of resumes and candidates. Candidates were well prepared; they knew in advance which employers would be there and what positions were available so that they could be effective and efficient. It was very pleasant to have both employer and candidate expectations exceeded.
