Who is Digital Rochester?
If you’re a decision-maker in a business built on digital technology, then you are. That list includes (but is not limited to): IT Managers, Biotech researchers, Web developers, Dot Com owners, Software Entrepreneurs, Telecom People, Tech Marketing People, Tech Legal specialists, ISP folks, bioinformatics wonks,Venture Capitalists, E-commerce business owners and managers, e biz consultants…, you get the idea. Why are you doing this?
The Greater Rochester area has been a center of technological innovation for two centuries from the flour mills of the 1840s to George Eastman’s film breakthroughs through the latest in biomedical technology. We’re number one in the country in patents issued per capita (that’s right: ahead of Silicon Valley, Austin and Route 28!) Why not create our own digital business community? Digital Rochester was formed because we knew there was a better way to show the world that we are a leader in the Knowledge Economy. And it only took a few short months to create an opt-in member list that numbers over 4100 and growing.
What’s in it for me?
At our monthly Digital Rochester Networking events there’s free High Falls draft beer, free food and most important, free exchange of experience, info and resources with your peers.
At our Knowledge Upgrade Series, you’re invited to get state of art information on specialized subjects like Disaster Preparedness, Wireless technologies, biotechnology and more, all at no cost- thanks to our sponsors.
You’re also invited to special events that focus on entrepreneurship, raising capital, meeting area leaders and more. All for little more than typing your email address into our registration area.
Do I have to join?
Our ‘members’ are part of a viral opt-in email list that you can join by simply typing your email address into the box on the home page. We send out periodic emails for our events and/or events that we feel offer high value to our members. You won’t get spammed and we respect your online privacy- we don’t share our list with anyone.
Do I need an invitation to attend your gatherings?
No! These events are open to the public. Just show up, slap on a name tag and get to networking! Please note: Due to limited space some events require registration.
